Dr. Berry generally accepts new patients but there could be a waitlist. Please call 502-509-3609 to inquire about schedule and availability.
-
How Do I Schedule an Appointment?
Existing clients may schedule an appointment with Dr. Berry by calling 502-509-3609. Once established as an existing patient, you will have access to your appointment schedule via our client portal. If you are a new patient and have questions or would like to inquire about an appointment, please email contact@berrywellnesspsychology.com or call 502-509-3609.
-
do you accept insurance?
Currently, Berry Wellness & Psychology does not participate with any insurance companies. We are in the process of credentialing with Anthem BlueCross BlueShield and will notify clients when the process is complete. Fees (whether full session fees for self-pay clients or copays once we are approved for in-network through Anthem BlueCross BlueShield) are collected at the time of service and we require patients to have a credit card on file with our secure third-party billing platform. Because Dr. Berry is a licensed clinical psychologist, her professional services qualify for reimbursement as an out-of-network provider under most insurance plans. We will provide a statement with the appropriate codes for mental health benefits for you to file with your insurance carrier for partial or full reimbursement, depending on your coverage.
-
are sessions in person or virtual?
We are a teletherapy-only practice at this time. Sessions are held via a secure and HIPPAA-compliant and HITRUST certified video platform. The HITRUST framework is the gold standard of security certification in the healthcare industry.
-
how long is my session?
Appointment length varies and is dependent upon the type of service provided. The standard time for an individual psychotherapy session is 55 minutes. At your intake appointment, we will discuss your needs, collaboratively determine the appropriate length of your sessions and make adjustments as needed. Couples Therapy session duration also varies and is dependent upon patient need and provider assessment. Couples psychotherapy sessions will generally run between 55-90 minutes.
-
what happens if I'm late or miss my appointment?
Your appointment is reserved exclusively for you. Barring extraordinary exceptions, appointment times will be honored. While we always want to accommodate our clients as best as we can, if you are late for your session, we may need to reschedule your appointment. In the event that you are late and we proceed with your session, it will still end at the scheduled time and you may be responsible for the full session rate. If you need to reschedule an appointment, we respectfully ask for 24-hour notice. If such notice is not provided and the appointment is missed, you will be charged a no-show fee consistent with our terms of service contained in our client portal. If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment and do not provide notice, you will be responsible for a no-show fee consistent with the same terms of service. Please note that insurance will not cover fees associated with late appointments, late cancellations or no-shows.
